COD = Call of Duty
1. Modern Warfare 2 – PEAK online PVP gaming. Unbalanced and glorious.. Also you could commit a mass shooting in the campaign.
2. World at War – Introduced Zombies which became an iconic staple of the series. Multiplayer was incredible, allowing you to have an arsenal of old WW2 weaponry and vehicles to fuck around with. If you wanted to be a cunt, you could camp in corners with a flamethrower and listen to little Timmy scream over his mic. Best campaign in the entire series especially the ending 🥺.
3. COD 4 – First mainstream COD online game with a progressive system/perks ect that became crack cocain for college dropout stoners. Very good campaign but not as good as WAW.
4. Black Ops 1 – Zombies was the only thing that saved this game tbh but it was decent. Clunky multiplayer and guns felt like they did jack shit for damage. Also they are removed the ability to quick scope WTF.. Campaign was alright just felt like a massive slog to get through and had a retarded plot.
5. Modern Warfare 3 – Unpopular opinion but MW3 multiplayer was better than Black Ops multiplayer tbh. Guns didn’t feel like pellet guns anymore but still had jank. Campaign was mid. Had a survival mode instead of Zombies which was a stupid choice ngl.
Honorable mentions:
COD 1, 2 and 3 – Without these games COD would of never existed or at least expanded to bigger and better things. The OG games had amazing campaigns obviously since multiplayer was never really the focus at the time. Multiplayer from my memory felt like a very chaotic version of Day of Defeat.
WW2 – Not as good as WAW but a breath of fresh air for the series after releasing micro transaction pushing Fortnite esque slop that was its antecedent.
cod4 to black ops 2 are all great. after that they felt horrible to play.
