That’s RIGHT!!! I’m gonna review a movie.. a very great one… MEGAMIND. >:]

Megamind, one of the best animated movies ever, a cult classic even. The movie starts with an interesting opening that gets you hooked and curious…”how did THIS happen?”

What I like about this movie is thay can see Megamind’s growth throughout the story from a petty, isolated villain into a hero. I think it’s very cool and ahead of its time. It also got an interesting visual storytelling too… at the beginning, his outfit is mainly spiky, edgy, and just screaming “villain!” But you’ll notice that by the end of the story, his outfit design changes, symbolizing that he doesn’t have to make himself intimidating anymore, that he’s accepted, no more societal view of a villain… wow! Self-acceptance is truly beautiful… I’d write down more symbolism in this movie, but I can’t remember most of em! Maybe later…

And the comedy is actually FUNNY, not in that “ermmmmm he’s right behind me, isn’t he?!” way. The jokes hit so hard because they come from genuine character dynamics, not likeee cheap pop-culture references that age poorly. Also not forgetting Metro Man and Tighten (wait its Tighten right), showing us what happens when a “hero” gets bored and a total loser gets real power!!!

The visual storytelling… the actual HEART in this script… makes me wanna cry in joy just like how I did in 2011 when my dad bought me a bootleg Megamind CD. Truly… this movie is criminally underrated…
