HK Contestants Top 10’s

There have been a total of 420 contestants on Hell’s Kitchen over 24 seasons. Here are my top 10 lists of who I thought were great and who I couldn’t stand:

“Top 10 Greatest Contestants on Hell’s Kitchen”

1. Matt Sigel – Season 4 – Season 4 is my favorite season of HK mainly because of Matt but all the contestants are memorable from this season. Matt is funny as hell because he is pissed off most of the time. Corey is hilarious when Matt gets bounced. Season 4 is just a great season.

2. Ranjit “Raj” Brandston – Season 8 – One of the more famous HK contestants, “Raj” hung around longer than his cooking skills seemed to have indicated he should have but there is no doubt people were tuning in just to see him. He was fucking insane.

3. Elise Wims – Seasons 9 and 17 – “Elise” is no doubt the most hated and most notorious chef on HK but she was a fabulous cook and sucked up all the oxygen in the room whenever she was on the screen. “Elise” is definitely an HK Hall of Famer.

4. Bret Hauser – Seasons 14 and 18 – Bret is absolutely the weirdest, most emotional and one of the best chefs on HK. He had absolutely no filter or class. In one challenge the contestants had to pick up keys or something off of the floor and Bret says “I felt like I was picking lice out of my daughter’s hair.” Really weird dude and funny as hell.

5. Trevor “Trev” McGrath – Seasons 8 and 18, guest appearance on season 10 – “Trev” was the whipping boy in both seasons he was on HK. Although he was a pretty good cook, he seemed to rub his fellow contestants the wrong way. “Trev” takes some serious abuse in season 18 when he goes zero for four on the “Blind Taste Test.”

6. Robyn Almodovar – Seasons 10 and 17 – “Robin” was never one to shy away from a fight. She was real combative with “Elise” and later got in to it with that shit bag “Milly” in season 18 (more on “Milly” later in my “Couldn’t Stand” list). “Robin” was a real firecracker and really bizarre as well.

7. Jackie Fuchs – Season 15 – Super unlikeable to the point of being likeable. “Jackie” was another one with no filter who loved to cause trouble and made sure viewers were tuning in to see what crazy shit she would do next.

8. Craig Schneider – Season 4 – Only on 4 episodes before he was bounced, I thought “Craig” was funny as hell. Right away Ramsay didn’t like him because he wore that stupid super tall chef’s hat. Ramsay used to call him egghead and all the other contestants hated his guts too. It’s just fucking hilarious.

9. Sabrina Brimhall – Season 9 – Super childish and annoying “Sabrina” really should have been bounced sooner than she was but she was most likely bringing in great ratings for the show. She was actually a good chef but she was so incredibly immature that she was not desirable to be hired in a restaurant. Fun to watch though.

10. Carolina “Carrie” Keep – Season 9 – “Carrie” probably would have done better on the show if “Elise” wasn’t a contestant in her season. They HATED each other. I found “Carrie” pretty likeable but she got a bad rap because of her feud with “Elise” which derailed her chances.

“Top 10 Contestants I Couldn’t Stand on Hell’s Kitchen”

1. Robert Hesse – Seasons 5 and 6 – I fucking hate this fat slob with all my heart and soul. He’s the biggest douche bag to ever appear on HK with “Milly” coming in at a close 2nd. “Robert” was always pointing fingers at people saying that they discriminate against him because he is a morbidly obese fat fucking slob. Ramsay has challenges that include physical exercise to see if the contestants can withstand the pace of a fast kitchen. Fat fuck “Robert” had to be rushed to the hospital in both seasons 5 and 6. “Robert” really showed his true colors in season 6 when he was a real asshole to Andy Husbands. I hate that fat fuck “Robert” BIG TIME.

2. Milly Medley – Seasons 14 and 17 – Cry baby “Milly” was always the first one to point fingers and pull out the race card whenever he fucked up in the kitchen. Every time he was a fucking jerk and had to face Ramsay he turned on the water works for DEI sympathy that unfortunately worked. In season 14 “Milly” royally screwed over Randy Bell during a dinner service for charities which resulted in “Randy” getting bounced (even before “Josh” – more on douche bag “Josh” in a minute). In season 17 he pulled out the race card on “Robin” before she got bounced and then turned on the tears when Ramsay called him out on it. Second biggest fucking asshole on HK for sure.

3. Josh Trovato – Seasons 14 and 17 – In both seasons “Josh” was in he should have got bounced a long time before he finally did. Ramsay had a soft spot for him but the other contestants hated him because he ALWAYS fucked up during dinner service. To top it off he was a really arrogant asshole as well.

4. Russell Kook – Season 8 and a guest apperence on Season 10 – “Russell” would probably be in the #1 spot for a lot of people in their “Most Hated” list. He came in second to “Nona” which I can understand would be something to be really pissed off about but he was such an asshole they had to give her the win.

5. Tennille Middleton – Season 6 – The more you watched “Tennille” the more irritating she became. She kept trying to clown more and more with that shuck and jive “I’m from the hood” bullshit to the point of nausea. “Tennille” was also a Whoopie Goldberg doppelganger which didn’t score her any points. She did tell Ramsay to go fuck himself and somehow didn’t get bounced for it which I thought was an incredible accomplishment but I just couldn’t stand her.

6. Joseph Tinnelly – Season 6 – You all know “Joseph,” the guy who got up in Ramsay’s face and challenged him to a fight. “Joseph” was only on 2 episodes (and the beginning of the 3rd) but he was a real asshole in that short period of time.

7. Joy Parham–Thomas – Season 12 – “Joy” is no doubt the biggest fuck up to ever appear on HK. Early on it looked like her feral attitude was going to get her bounced quick but she was ushered in to the top 5 via DEI. It seemed obvious to me that Ramsay was grooming her for the win but she suddenly fucked up big time and quit the show. I think she was the only top 10 contestant not to be asked back for the finale. Even that asshole Anton Testino was asked back for the finale.

8. Anton Testino – Season 12 – “Anton” was a fucking jerk from day one. He couldn’t hide that fact that he was an asshole the more the season went on and his raspy voice became super annoying to listen to. On episode 13 he got in to it with sous chef Andi Van Willigan-Cutspec which is a big no-no. As a result he was bounced on that same episode. Big time fuck up.

9. Mary Lou Davis – Season 19 – “Mary Lou” made it to #2 by beating out “Declan?” You’re fucking kidding, right? I couldn’t stand “Mary Lou” and her faggy looking friend Cody Candelario. Season 19 pretty much sucked all around.

10. Jason Underwood – Season 4 – “Jason” could have been on both of these lists. He was a super asshole but he was funny as hell too. Most women hate him for being a misogynist but it was priceless when he couldn’t remember what was on the dessert menu.
