Rating Resident Evil

Sadly Resident Evil has become quite mainstream with fucking shitheads, especially Leon Kennedy when honestly he’s a pretty boring character… Ask any of these little assholes who Steve Burnside is and they’ll have NO clue. I’ve been a fan since I was 5 YEARS OLD. Anyways… I’m currently finishing Code Veronica because my god the controls make me wanna bash my head against a window… but I’ve played all other RE games aside from 6 and 9 (I watched 9 on YouTube… not a fan to be honest, but I do think Grace’s anxiety was somewhat realistic), as for 6 I watched a little of it on YouTube as well but it just seems a bit boring. Honestly I’m so sad RE is mainstream because people only care about Leon and Lady Dimitrescu because they’re both hot, but nobody seems to actually like the plot of RE as a whole.

I also actually have one of the super rare RE books. None of these fake fans even know RE has books. It also has shows and movies but they’re fucking garbage… they made Whesker black for what reason?

Anyways this is my rankings of the games… not including remakes. Also there’s other game variations like RE 2 revolutions but I’m just gonna do the main ones.

1. RE Code Veronica: I know I said I haven’t finished it bug I still love it so much aside from the controls… the voice acting is definitely goofy as fuck but I like the take on RE this one has. Can’t wait for the remake.

2. RE 7: This one is fucking perfect in my opinion… I like it because although the graphics are modern, it still has a very Resident Evil like tone to it unlike what I saw from 9. The lore behind the Bakers family is actually sad and not just “random family turned into zombies” which is a nice change.

3: RE 8: I HATE how this game is mostly just boiled down to “hot vampire ladies”… It has SO much more to it. I even named my cat after one of the characters. Honestly wish people talked more about this one other than Lady Dimitrescu. Now, don’t get me wrong, I DO like the Dimitrescu’s, but they’re all anyone very mentions in regards to this game when in reality they aren’t even THAT important to RE 8’s lore and stuff.

4: RE 5: The piss colour filter was pretty annoying but I liked this one a lot. Good plot & good characters. I don’t really have any complaints about this one.

5: RE 2: Played this one so long ago I can hardly even remember most of it but I liked both the original and the remake. Cool plot.

6: RE 3: Same reason as RE 2… I don’t really have anything bad or super good to say about this one. It was a fun game and nice RE addition.

7: RE 6: Just way too much cutscenes… wtf were they thinking.

8: RE 9: Objectively, it might be a good game.. But it just doesn’t feel like Resident Evil to me.
